This app allows you to install Debian Buster with the Xfce desktop environment without the need to root your device. It requires a minimum of 1.2 GB of free internal storage and is best used with a mouse or stylus.

It's important to note that this app is not a full Debian OS but rather a compatibility layer based on PRoot. This layer enables the running of user-land Debian applications on your device. During installation, your phone remains unrooted, and certain applications like Wireshark or Aircrack-ng will not work as they require root access. Additionally, please be aware that this is not an official release from Debian.org.

To install packages, such as a web browser, open the Terminal and input the following commands:

A full list of available packages can be found in the Synaptic package manager. Some examples of packages that work well include synaptic, gimp, inkscape, clementine, chromium, vlc, mplayer, audacity, and lmms.

In VLC and Audacity, make sure to select PulseAudio as the audio output for optimal performance.

Please note that there are certain packages that may not run successfully, including firefox-esr, libreoffice, konqueror, kodi, kdenlive, blender, and any application that relies on OpenGL.
